We’re the Parents’ Association (PA) – we like to keep things friendly and fun and work hard to create a warm, connected and supportive environment for all our families. Whether it’s helping out at school events, showing up at our annual Pub Quiz, or simply figuring out what tonight’s homework actually means, we’re here for each other.
Getting involved is easy, and completely optional.
Congratulations – you’re in! Each and every parent/guardian is automatically a member of the HRNS PA. How much you’d like to get involved is up to you. At the heart of our comms is our WhatsApp Class Groups – a respectful and low-message space for updates and school-related chatter (no spam, promise!). Each class has its own WhatsApp Group, led by a volunteer Class Rep (nominated at our October AGM). Your Class Rep will be your go-to for reminders, event info, end of school whip arounds and the like.
There is also a notice board on the wall, in the school yard.
Our PA WhatsApp Community is for those who’d like to get a little more involved, it’s a space where you can opt into smaller interest groups. No pressure to join – just options if you’re curious or keen:
- Sensory Garden Group – for green-fingered folk
- Smart Phone & Digital Tech Group – for anyone passionate about digital learning and online safety.
- School Council – if you’d like to be involved in setting up HRNS’s council.
- Other groups form as needed – there’s something for everyone.
Throughout the year, we run lots of lovely events – and we’d love your help, whether that’s volunteering, donating, attending, or simply bringing the craic!
